The Sleepwalk "The Forest of Foss Darya"

This album was one of my biggest inspirations making the website (besides lunacid) because it feels like a soundtrack to a ps1 dungeon crawler, and i love dungeon crawlers.

First of all THE MUSIC IS CRAZY, from the get-go the first song "Call for you" enters with a beautiful and calming intro made of synths and different animal noises, and they jumpscare you out of nowhere with the sickest guitar sound ever.

The album is mainly shoegaze, idm and glitch pop but the songs arent confined by these genres because each song is really different from one to the other.

Based on vibes this album are beautiful, ethereal and like a jungle or forest.

The songs are mostly fast, switching a lot from the tranquil piano playing into energetic sections full of cool guitars.

The best songs on this album are From Eden, Afterdream and Call for you, they are really enjoyable to listen and embody all the topics i talked about.

The album falls a little bit behind after "From Eden" but still its really good.

Im really mad this album and band never got a lot of attention because it deserves it, is innovative and really cool.

Overall GREAT ALBUM I LOVE IT ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE.

If you like Sweet Trip's "Velocity : Design : Comfort" you'll love this album because its fairly similar but older.

Opeth "My Arms, Your Hearse"

ANOTHER beautiful album.

This albums tells the story of a dead man that turns into a ghost, he refuses the idea of being dead so in the songs you can see he tries to connect to the human world.

First of all, the riffs. OOOHOH MY GHOOOOOD THE RIFFS ARE CRAZY COOL, from the first song "April Ethereal" you can see that the guitar carries a lot of emotion, Anger, Sadness, for me atleast.

It doesnt need to be said that this album has a very melancolic sound which is something i really love, the sheer emotion in the songs are what makes it memorable.

Also the musicians are all great in this band, i was never really interested in opeth aside from this album and ghost reveries.

The album falls a little bit behind after "From Eden" but still its really good.

If your not into sad/melancolic songs and you just want more heavy and angry songs, then worry not, songs like when and demon of the fall are more heavier than the rest of songs of the album.

What can i say, this album has a lot of depth, growls, and beautiful guitar playing.

10/10 i recommend this album to everyone.

Last thing ill say is that my favorite moment in the album is 2:25 on april ethereal, that riff made me cry.

Maudlin of the well "Bath / Leaving Your Body Map"

If you like prog metal or just metal you probably heard about this album

Its IMPOSSIBLE for me to talk about only one album, both albums are a great experience

I wont talk about the sound of the album since its really varied and takes a lot of genres

AND i dont want to spoil the experience, what i want to say is that this entire band is a journey to listen to

They are one of my favorite bands ever and their music was one of the greatest ever

Please give this albums a listen, you wont regret it

Malice Mizer "Bara no seidou/Cathedral of roses"

Sorry for the tiktok buzzword but this album is the most vampire sounding album OAT (from what i heard)

This album was recorder and released after the singer Gackt left the band and the drummer Kami died, They needed a new a singer for the band so they bringed Klaha, one of my favorite singers ever

The performance from Klaha in this album is OUTSTANDING, he perfectly fits the ritualistic and vampire-like vibe they were going for

The genres are Dark cabaret, Baroque and Neoclassical darkwave which they execute perfectly

It isnt surprising but the album is really theatrical, i say not surprising because they were always like this because they are vkei, but this album is more theatrical and over the top than the albums before, one example is the first song and ALSO one of my favorites ever "Seinaru toki eien no inori"

I cant stress enough how much i like this song, Its everything i talked about, theatrical, gothic, divine and beautiful, Its the best composition ive heard, and the ending, OHHHHH THE ENDING, its a complete ascension to heaven

Please listen to this album, The best songs are seinaru toki, Mayonaka and shiroi

If you can PLEASE watch this live performance its one of my favorite oat

Plastic Tree "Träumerei"

After a lot of really sad albums this is more normal

Träumerei is mostly shoegaze, alt rock, and a LITTLE bit of emo

While this album might seem like a straightforward is really cool and fun to listen to, the mixing is great and the instrumentals/vocals are really good

The songs are really catchy and replay worthy, My favorite song in the album is "Platform" which is really energetic and fun, ryutaro's voice is addictive in this song, also it has a SICK solo i really like

Another song that stands out is "Chiriyuku Bokura", this is another song with great singing

Overall great album, people might argue that plastic tree's other albums are better, one example is INK, that album is pretty much better than Träumerei in every way, but this is my favorite pura album and the one that stuck with me the most
